EARLY CHILDHOOD SCREENING
Early Childhood Screening is for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. State law requires that all children must be screened before starting kindergarten. The earlier your child is screened the more opportunities your child will have to participate in free programs and services to prepare for kindergarten.
Screening includes:
- a review of immunization and health information
- a vision check
- a hearing check
- a height and weight measurement
- a summary interview
- development and speech screen
The school district offers this screening at no cost to families. Appointments are available both days and evenings.
For a screening appointment or information, call the Early Childhood Screening Office at (651) 632-3746.
